I work as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Center for Developing Hope in Corvallis. I became a Combat Medic/EMT in the US Army in 2002 and a nurse in 2003. My undergraduate degrees are in Psychology, Health and Nursing. Prior to completing my graduate work at OHSU in 2012 I worked in almost every area of the hospital/medical facilities but was continuously drawn to mental health. Children, Young Adults, Developmental Disabilities and First Responders are the predominant population I serve and help to support multiple Police Departments in our area. I have a special interest in complex developmental cases that have comorbid medical complications or complexities that despite extensive treatment and testing have not been able to be stabilized. Our team consists of 1 additional PMHNP, 2 LCSWs and an all-star support staff. For more information on our practice, you can visit centerfordevelopinghope.com
Outside of mental health work, I am a father of 3, husband to 1 and a servant to 2 dogs and 3 cats. I don’t do well sitting down so can usually be found with a chainsaw in my hand, on a tractor, doing woodworking, masonry, chasing after my children or trying to find my dogs who are master escape artists. Our 3 acre property is scattered with about 100 projects, all of which are between 50 to 80% complete which speaks towards my intimate knowledge of the complexities of ADHD.
