Hi, my name is Dr. Cathy LaLonde. I'm a Licensed Psychologist who relocated from the Oregon coast back to my home state Michigan in the end of 2020, and I still see patients in Oregon as my practice is virtual only (video appointments). I started out as a Master'-level clinician, worked for several years, then went back for my Ph.D. in clinical psychology, which I completed in 2017. I've been practicing for 16 years now, and I have completed specialized training in clinical health psychology as well as psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults. I provide psychotherapy services and my approach is integrative, bringing together psychoanalytic and psychodynamic principles with other evidence-based therapies such as CBT, motivational interviewing, ACT, positive psychology, trauma-focused, exposure, and/or mindfulness-based techniques. I believe in looking at each person holistically, taking into account past experiences, current struggles, symptoms, health-related issues/behaviors, and strengths and factors that promote resilience.
Recently, I have been working most with adjustment to life transitions, trauma, anxiety, health-related issues, and women recovering from past abusive relationships.
I accept self-pay and am enrolled with traditional Medicare in Oregon (no advantage/managed plans).
