Hello! I’m Dr. Lisa L. Schulz, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor, licensed in both Oregon and Georgia, currently living in Corvallis, OR. I believe effective counseling is grounded in a trusting and affirming working alliance. I work from an interpersonal perspective, meaning our professional relationship is the key to a positive and productive working alliance. Grounding my training in Existential-Humanistic theory, I seek to support your effort to find personal meaning and self-understanding, to explore your lived experience and uncover the most genuine you. The typical challenges people face are embedded in fear of loneliness and disconnection - not feeling a sense of belonging and acceptance. Meaningful living can be achieved by acknowledging the fear and acting intentionally to create love, authenticity, and congruence. I offer support to achieve insight and tools to cultivate purposeful transformation, enabling you to live a meaningful life in the face of uncertainty and suffering. We all take turns with suffering; we all take turns with joy. You can feel accomplished and connected. I can help; I am particularly effective for those seeking meaning, purpose, and a fulfilling quality of life at any age!
