I work with children, teens, and adults.
I’m a native Oregonian, born and raised here. I’ve been working in Mental Health in Linn and Benton counties since 2007. I received my Master’s in Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2003. I’m certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional and also registered as a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. One of the greatest things I can offer is a listening ear and a sense of hope to those hurting and struggling with life’s difficulties.
Relationships, communication, emotions, and coping don’t always come easily. Sometimes it takes some extra learning and practice to deal with these tricky things along life’s journey. But helping empower people to learn new skills and get unstuck from old habits that no longer work is something I bring to the table. Change is possible with some perseverance and encouragement along the way!
I work with people with a variety of diagnoses and challenges. But I especially do well with anxiety and mood disorders using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-focused CBT, and Exposure Therapy modalities. I also have years of experience working with kids and teens and practice Play Therapy and use sand tray techniques as well.
